It takes a little while but you always come round Head back towards me I've found I'll sit here I won't make a sound I already know And everything I do I never do it for you And everything you promise it'll never come true But it always comes back round to you I already know So spend the day in Brighton Or Blackpool or Amsterdam Or spend the day in bed love Then get up and start over Again I get the feeling that I've been here before Again I get the feeling I can't take any more Again I get the feeling that you're hard to ignore I already know Again I get the feeling that I've been left behind Again I get the feeling you're not easy to find Again I get the feeling I could be on your mind I already know Oh be quiet in your arrogance Oh shut up with your self confidence A wizard should know better A wizard should know better It's been a while dear You look lonely love so godforsaken Wearing that smile dear Like you're getting passport photographs taken It'll take a little while but you'll come round again Head back over here my friend I've seen it before I'll see it again I already know And everything you do you never do it for me And after everything you've said you know you'll never break free Does it ever come back round to me I already know So spend the day in Heathrow Hang out in terminal four And pick a place to spend the day On the departures board Well it don't matter to me It's just everything I hoped for It don't matter to me It's just everything I longed for It don't matter to me It's just everything I wished for It don't matter to me It's just everything I hoped for

Biscuit Tin 03:27
If I am akin to the crumbs left in the biscuit tin Then you are a jammie dodger darlin And if I am comparable to that tea I made for you Then I am a little too sweet for your tastes I get the feeling we're but half complete A biscuit without tea you and me separately Pleasant individually but together unmistakably Better when I'm with you and when you're with me But every time this happens we just realign And every time this happens we just realign I guess I'll hold you the next time we say goodbye Oh lord Oh what a fool am I What a fool am I what a joker what a clown I just go round and round I just go round and round If I am akin to the crumbs left in the biscuit tin Think that makes you a custard cream And if you are comparable to that tea I made for you Does not make you too sweet for me I cannot help but get the feeling you know what I mean Oh lord Oh what a fool am I What a fool am I what a joker what a clown I just go round and round I just go round and round

Everytime 04:06
Had this all scripted out in my head you see All these incidents and milestones that never came to be Still I stole a glimpse of you and me I stole a glimpse of you and me the same The days grow short The days grow dark then bright again So we have ourselves a picnic planned A day in the sun And take our time exhale and in spite of everyone And in spite of everyone We do this every time A smile and you carry on by A smile and you carry on by Are you sturdy, are you fragile Are you in motion, are you still Are you drinking now with friends Or crying over Disney films Like we know you always will We do this every time We do this every time But I don't have to worry for you No I don't have to worry for you You've got clothes to fit your lifestyle And songs to suit your mood I don't have to worry for you God I do that every time I do that every time When you turn around I walk away And look back again later having thought of some clever thing to say Maybe we're all the same As the days grow short The days grow dark then bright again All these incidents and milestones might never come to be And can I steal a glimpse of you and me Can I steal a glimpse of you and me Or let's make ourselves a milestone with no one else around Drive into a sunset Finding dragons in the clouds Finding dragons in the clouds

On And On 04:06
I'm going now so goodbye so goodbye I'm not crying there's just something in my eye These things happen all the time all the time I'm going now darling don't wait up for me I'm not looking for don't give me your sympathy Patience love wait and see wait and see Wait and see and take hold of my hand And don't second guess things you don't understand love You second guess things you don't understand love Silly you Maybe someday you'll turn around Head back this way and say something profound Or maybe you'll stay Maybe you'll just stay But either way On and on the story goes And on and on the story goes Wait and see and take hold of my hand And don't second guess things you don't understand love You second guess things you don't understand love Silly you Love silly you But maybe we all do Yeah maybe we all do And you realise at last love You had a feeling this would come to pass love Had a feeling this would come to pass love Silly you Maybe someday you'll head back here And we'll find a way together my dear And we'll find a way Or maybe you'll just stay But either way On and on the story goes And on and on the story goes And all that you realise at last love You had a feeling this would come to pass love Had a feeling this would come to pass love Silly you

about

This EP was recorded in The Chocolate Factory 2, Wood Green, London in early December, 2008. A number of people were involved with the making of it. Edward Bell sang backing vocals on all tracks. Graham Prior added some additional guitar on tracks one and two. He also sang backing vocals on tracks two and three, as did Selina MacDonald. Jo Silverston played the cello on tracks three and four. Rory Simmons played some trumpet on track one and some flugelhorn on track three. Stephen Long wrote and sang the songs. He played guitar on all tracks apart from track three where he played the piano. Richard Causon did everything else, including (but not limited to) backing vocals, additional piano, glockenspiel, mandolin, bass guitar, and looped backwards hammond organ. He also produced this EP. The artwork was done by James Hilston who can be found doodling, philosophising, and generally hanging out at www.jameshilston.com.
